Privacy policy

What data we collect

CivicLookup does not collect personally identifiable information. When you search for an address, the address text is sent to Google Maps for geocoding (subject to Google's Privacy Policy). The resulting coordinates (latitude and longitude) are then sent to our database to retrieve civic information. We do not log or store your address or coordinates.

Cookies and analytics

CivicLookup does not use cookies or local storage for tracking purposes. We use Google Analytics 4 to collect anonymised, aggregate usage data — such as pages visited and session counts. No personally identifiable information is included. IP addresses are anonymised before processing. Analytics data is not used for advertising. You can opt out at any time using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Third-party services

We use the Google Maps JavaScript API for address autocomplete and geocoding, and Google Analytics 4 for anonymised usage statistics. Requests to Google are subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
