Phase 1 covers Queensland only. Support for other Australian states and territories is planned for future releases.
Data is sourced from official Queensland Government open data portals. Boundary data is accurate as at the last major electoral redistribution. Road authority data may be inferred from road classification for some roads.
Federal representative data is determined by AEC electoral division boundaries. A small number of addresses near division boundaries — particularly in coastal and remote areas — may fall in a gap between published polygons and will not return a federal MP result. All other data (local council and state MP) will still be shown. If you believe this is incorrect, check the AEC website to confirm your enrolled division.
"Confirmed" means the road was matched precisely against official road mapping data. "Inferred" means we matched it by road name and suburb instead, because no mapped road was found nearby — the result is still sourced from official council/road datasets, just with a small chance of error in suburbs that span more than one council area. Use the "Report incorrect information" link if something looks wrong.
No. Addresses are geocoded client-side via Google Maps and sent as coordinates only to our database. We do not log or store any queries.
In most cases, local council. The road authority card covers the nearest road; other infrastructure may be managed differently. Check your council website for specifics.
The results page includes direct links to defect reporting portals for both road authorities and local councils wherever available.
